Suzahn Fiering, a native of New York City and currently a resident of Nashville, Tennessee, is a successful recording artist, touring performer, musician, songwriter and, last but not least, an educator. In a spirit of "giving back," she has taught master classes, clinics and workshops on a variety of music topics in the US and abroad and presented them to corporate groups, teachers, political groups, women's groups, community groups, multi-cultural groups, international groups, schools, colleges and community groups. 

Suzahn’s community service efforts have led to meeting with (and sometimes collaborating with) such international dignitaries like President Nelson Mandela, The Honorable Al Gore and the Carthage Group (on behalf of La  Festival de La Terre-Paris and Toulouse, France), Gloria Steinam, Yoko Ono, Ashley Judd, Governor Phil Bredesen, Holly Near, The Reverend Jessie Jackson, and Pete Seeger.  Suzahn has represented the US as an educator and performer through the American Embassies in London, Paris, Copenhagen and Toulouse.
As a performer, Suzahn has played with a who’s who in music including jazz artists like Mel Lewis, Dick Oatts, Donald Harrison, Grady Tate, Marvin “Smitty” Smith, Donald Brown and Jaco Pastorius as well as UK legends like Digby Fairweather, Alan Barnes and Alec Dankworth.  She has worked with Pop and Country artist like Sam Bush, Odetta, Dave Van Ronk, Pete Seeger, Suzanne Vega, Shawn Colvin, Reba McEntire, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw to name a few.  Suzahn has appeared at top jazz venues and festivals in the US and Europe and makes appearances in “singer/songwriter” venues as well. 
As a Songwriter, Suzahn writes for Warner-Chapel Music and has had songs on Oprah, Desperate Housewives, Coyote Ugly, Disney, BET, NPR, National Geographic, Better Homes & Gardens, Switched, WWE Smackdown and Basil Rush Show, as well as many National Jingles including, Certs, Dr. Pepper, Avon and Johnson & Johnson to name a few. She also has songs in the Smithsonian Museum and the Baseball Hall of Fame and in several indie films including the award winning “Calling It Quits” by director/writer Antonio Tarsitano.  There are numerous indie artists playing her songs worldwide.  Suzahn’s jazz release ”Paris Without His Kiss” featuring her original tunes, vocals and guitar work, was co-produced by 4-time Grammy winner Richard Adler and was released to critical acclaim in the US.
Suzahn is not just a respected touring artist and composer.  Suzahn is an alumnus of MCA publishing, RCA Records, BMG and The Gibson Corporation.  Suzahn was a Jingle writer and session singer on Madison Ave in NYC.  She was an engineer and music producer working for many studios and large installation venues including 6 years as a recording engineer and producer with 4-time Grammy winner Richard Adler at Soundwave Studios in Nashville, TN.  Currently, Suzahn owns a music publishing and licensing business.
As an educator Suzahn was the executive Director of Scattin’ In The Schools, in Nashville TN, a charity she created with fellow Music Row musicians and executives.  Suzahn taught songwriting and music business classes for 4 years through Nashville Continuing Education and was a guitar teacher through Nashville Metro Parks.  Currently, she has a private studio where she teaches voice, guitar, music theory (including the Nashville number system), songwriting and piano.  Suzahn gives private career and music business consultations as well.
